The start into the last third of the season was successful: at the 6-hour race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the Adrenalin Motorsport Team Alzner Automotive scored two class wins and five additional podium finishes. Furthermore, the team from Heusenstamm successfully defended its lead in the championship and continues to fight for a fourth consecutive title.

“Of course, our main goal is to win the overall championship of the Nürburgring Endurance Series again this year. Additionally, we want to be at the front in as many classes as possible. Thanks to the great work of our drivers and the entire pit crew, we can say after the seventh race of the season that our plans are still realistic. Accordingly, we are satisfied, even though the 6-hour race could have been even more successful for us with a bit more luck,” summarized team manager Matthias Unger.

Class V4: Rink/Brink/Leisen fight to victory from seventh place on the grid

The reigning VLN champions Christopher Rink, Danny Brink, and Philipp Leisen had a difficult start to the weekend. After qualifying, the well-coordinated driver trio was only ranked seventh with the number 1 PIXUM BMW 325i E90. However, the experienced Nordschleife veterans did not let this discourage them. On the contrary, they took the class lead as early as the second lap and extended it to more than nine minutes by the time the black and white checkered flag fell. With this, Rink, Brink, and Leisen collected the maximum points in class V4 and defended their lead in the NLS standings.

Class V6: The #396 NEXEN TIRES Porsche Cayman S continues its strong form

Without any problems, Lutz Marc Rühl, Christian Büllesbach, Daniel Zils, and Andreas Schettler completed the six-hour distance with their NEXEN TIRES Porsche Cayman S. At the end of the day, the four drivers celebrated their sixth victory of the season.

Class VT2: Damage limitation after a lot of bad luck in the final phase of the 6-hour race

In class VT2, Philipp Stahlschmidt, Christopher Rink, and Daniel Zils had everything under control for over five hours. With the BMW 330i G20 Mainhattan Wheels, they led the class until a technical problem caused an unscheduled additional pit stop. After successful repairs, the trio finished second, limiting the damage in this year’s championship fight.

Also struck by bad luck was the #482 Mainhattan Wheels BMW 330i G20, driven by Jacob Erlbacher, Uwe Ebertz, Loek Hartog, and Sindre Setsaas. During a Code 60 phase on the Nürburgring GP course, their vehicle was hit from behind by another competitor, which caused a repair stop in the pits. Until then, the team had been on the lead lap. Even after that incident, their bad luck continued: at the “Swallowtail” section, a collision with another participant led to the race’s premature end for them.

Class CUP5: Strong team results in the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup

In class CUP5, Adrenalin Motorsport Team Alzner Automotive was again represented by both cars. Francesco Merlini, Yannick Fübrich, and David Griessner finished second with the #870 BMW M2 CS Racing, securing another podium finish, while Stefan Kruse, Charles Oakes, and Guido Witz crossed the line in fifth place. These three gentlemen drivers secured valuable points in the fight for the Trophy classification.

Class V5: Hat trick for the Korn family

Ulrich Korn, Tobias Korn, and Daniel Korn continued their strong performance with the Porsche Cayman car number 444, Neufeld. After finishing second in class V5 twice before the NLS summer break, they repeated this successful result in the 6-hour race.

Class M240i: Double podium for Adrenalin Motorsport Team Alzner Automotive

There was also reason to celebrate in the BMW M240i class, where former Formula 1 test driver and ex-DTM driver Jake Dennis made his Nordschleife debut. Together with Niklas Krütten, he shared the cockpit of the #652 SSB Weighing Technology vehicle and secured second place. Behind them, teammates Lars Harbeck, Sven Markert, Robin Reimer, and Rudolfo Funaro took third place with the #650 Veedol BMW M240i, also reaching the podium. The result was rounded off by Jacob Schell, Rodriguez Menzl, and Guillaume Dumarey in fifth place.
