At the 50th edition of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, the Alzen Automotive Team Adrenalin Motorsport triumphed in front of a dream setting with 230,000 spectators, taking victories in three different classes and securing two further podium finishes. Thanks to the outstanding performance of the mechanics, all eight entered cars also saw the chequered flag in the world’s toughest endurance race—despite some accident damage.
“I am extremely proud of the entire team and the results—not only in the 24h Race but also in the RCN, where we already achieved three class victories on Thursday. It was a very tough weekend for us, with an immense workload for our mechanics. However, our pit crew handled everything perfectly. No matter what challenges came our way during the 24 hours, everyone pulled together and never gave up. That’s what enabled us to bring every driver to the finish line with a strong overall performance. Many thanks to everyone involved and to the many fans who created a unique atmosphere around the track,” explained team manager Matthias Unger.
After two wins in the Nürburgring Endurance Series and a one-two finish at the 24-hour Qualifiers, there was no way past Adrenalin Motorsport in the fifth race of the season. Daniel Zils and Oskar Sandberg, the regular drivers of the BMW 330i G20 "Mainhattan Wheels", were joined for the 24-hour marathon by Jacob Erlbacher and Christopher Rink. While Erlbacher quickly adapted to the car and delivered consistently strong lap times, former NLS champion Rink celebrated a successful return to Adrenalin Motorsport.
The driver quartet ran a flawless race from pole position and, alongside their class victory, also became the best-placed production vehicle in the entire field, finishing in a remarkable 44th overall.
Their teammates Frank Haack, Mike Comazzi, Guido Wirtz, and Philipp Leisen also showed good pace in the No. 331 Mainhattan Wheels BMW 330i G20. After a penalty in qualifying, they started from the back of the group and quickly fought their way up toward podium contention. However, around five hours before the end, the vehicle suffered damage in an accident, requiring repairs. After completion, they still managed to cross the finish line in sixth place.
Following a double win at the 24-hour Qualifiers, the No. 444 Neufeld-KFZ Porsche Cayman—driven by Daniel Korn, Ulrich Korn, Tobias Korn, and Carlos Arimon—also claimed victory in class V5 at the season’s highlight. With a clean, penalty-free run, the four drivers finished a strong 59th overall, even outperforming some competitors from the more powerful V6 class. A total of 135 cars competed in this year’s 24h Race.
Adrenalin Motorsport had double the reason to celebrate in the BMW M240i class. Sven Markert, Robin Reimer, Sascha Radulovic, and Zoran Radulovic in the No. 240 Veedol BMW M240i triumphed over their teammates Thomas Ardelt, Sven Oepen, Manuel Dormagen, and Simon Klemund, who raced in the No. 241 Cadocare BMW M240i. Both cars completed the 24-hour challenge in the “Green Hell” without any issues and were rewarded accordingly.
Behind them, Guillermo Aso, Alvaro Fontes, Ronny Leppert, and Harald Leppert secured fourth place with the No. 242 SSB weighing technology BMW M240i, which was also successfully repaired by the mechanic crew after an on-track incident.
In Cup5, Alexander Müller, Steve Brooks, Roland Froese, and Ryusho Konishi initially fought for the class win in the No. 871 Alzner Battery BMW M2 CS Racing. However, an engine change became necessary during the night, resulting in a lengthy pit stop. The Adrenalin Motorsport crew completed the swap in record time, allowing the team to secure second place in class.
In the highly competitive V6 class, Christian Büllesbach, Stefan Kruse, Guido Heinrich, and Andreas Schettler delivered a strong performance in the No. 396 NEXEN-TIRES Porsche Cayman S. After securing the fastest qualifying time, they led large portions of the race. Unfortunately, an accident required a long repair period and ultimately denied the team a top result.
